Song - w/text - Edvard Munch, 12 December 1863 -- 23 January 1944, was a Norwegian Symbolist painter, printmaker and an important forerunner of expressionistic art. He was a soul-runner in his expressions, where deep emotions played a vital part. He was strong and honest in his exploration of the difficult themes of life, love, fear, death, and melancholia. --- He wrote: "I inherited two of mankind's most frightful enemies — the heritage of consumption and insanity."
He investigated nooks and corners in his mind, searching to achieve self-knowledge, self-awareness ... and found his deep suppressed “rooms" of fear and traumas, as well as his strong passion for what he looked for as life-giving forces. He's mostly known for his painting “The Scream", but it's worthwhile to look at more of his artwork.
